This disclosure policy is valid from 07 June 2013
Thanks for visiting! My blog is a resource guide for educational and informational purposes. (And sometimes venting about inappropriate topics such as wine smuggling and/or individuals who wear Vibram Five Fingers to dinner parties. You know–the usual.)
To write my articles, I use my experiences, the experiences of others and various other resources including but not limited to the wild wild web, the Encyclopedia Britannica (what? you didn’t buy the extended library collection of 1989?) and/or The Bible. (Kidding. But maybe not.) That said, my advice doesn’t come with any guarantees.
By visiting this site, you’re essentially signing a contract that says that you understand that I make no guarantees, and you won’t try to sue me or report me to the Obama administration. Because that? Well, that would be awkward.

The posts contained in this blog require lots of time and attention, often taking hours to compose and edit. The photos displayed on this site are taken by me, unless otherwise noted. Please respect the time, effort and expense put into bringing these profiles to life by giving proper attribution and credits.
This blog does not accept any form of cash advertising or paid topic insertions at this time. (Honestly? I’m hoping that will change.) However, I will take sponsorship requests into consideration and do accept and keep free products, services, travel, event tickets, and other forms of compensation from companies and organizations.
This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog, but chances are…it won’t. (I can be pretty opinionated or opinionated and pretty. I can never remember which way that goes.) That content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content.
The owner(s) of this blog may be compensated – make it so! – to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics, but the views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the blog owners. If I claim or appear to be experts on a certain topic or product or service area, I will only endorse products or services that we believe, based on our expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. I also reserve the right to change my opinion if it’s discovered any product or service written about here is A) way cooler than first thought or B) turns out to be a piece of crap 6 months down the road. Sometimes, things fall apart.
Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.
This blog may contain content which might present a conflict of interest. This content will always be identified.
If I use images from another source, a rare occurrence, I always add photo credits, with a direct link to the original source under the image. If you feel that I have left out any pertinent information or erred in posting an image, please contact me, kathy(at)livethefinelife(dot)com, and it will either be removed or I will correct the attribution and link. I get it; it makes me stabby too.
If I live to be 100, I’m smack dab in the middle of life, so some times I forget things, but I’m still feeling pretty spry and just mature enough to willingly right my wrongs.
Sometimes, important Lady Business is discussed here. I don’t profess to hold medical knowledge concerning the area, just personal experience and observations about my family’s journey through the world of feminine cancers.
Pointing readers in the right direction, toward resources from the leading institutions on the forefront concerning awareness, is my intention. If it appears as though I’m making light of a tough subject, it’s because my computer isn’t covered for waterworks damage…and laughter is the best medicine.
