It’s been a hectic and exciting few weeks getting ready for the Preview Party and the opening of the O’More Designer Show House, presented by Traditional Home. It is a very intimidating prospect, rising to the challenge of hosting a shindig for one of the top design publications in the world. Traditional Home specializes in the beauty of interior design details. Their 5 million monthly readers hang on every word and inspect every photograph, often with a magnifying glass in hand. O’More College needed to step up to the plate in a big way and on Thursday night, as a team, we did.
It takes a village, people!
As co-chair for the Preview Party, I wanted to take a moment to stop and thank the committee, staff, sponsors and vendors who generously gave their time and talents to make our wildest dreams come true.
First, to my co-chair Donna Daniel, a truly amazing human being: Watching your vision come to life was a gift. Seeing it happen in the middle of a torrential downpour was magic. Getting to know you was the highlight of this adventure. I am forever in your debt!

To the steering committee, JoAnne Haynes, Ashlyn Hines, David Koellien, Jay Sheridan and Kim Zimmer: Thank you for taking a leap of faith and being so supportive. O’More College is lucky to have you all on it’s side.
To our party sponsors, Susan Estes DeGarmo and Eddie DeGarmo, Raymond Hermosa of Omni Beverages, J.R. Roper of Lexus of Nashville, Laura Wall from Southern Events and Andy Marshall’s entire team at Puckett’s Grocery and Restaurant, you all helped to set a new standard. I am grateful for the generosity of support and enthusiasm you shared with us.

To the Preview Party committee, Donna Daniel, Danny Anderson, Jayne Williams and Rebecca Stilwell: Anything you need, anytime, I am at your service. You guys are the best!
To the staff at Sheridan PR, Macey and Holly: You lovely ladies went above and beyond the call of duty. I’m so grateful for your time, talents and patience.

To our hundreds of guests: The buzz you created all evening, in both the house and the tent, let us know that we met your expectations well. Thank you for your continued support and for encouraging your friends and families to come out and see what O’More has to offer. We are humbled and grateful. Keep spreading the word!

And last, but by no means least, to the incredible administrative staff at O’More College of Design, Kathy, Shari, Amy, Teresa, Jason, Melinda, Tori, Kirk and Troy: You guys rock! Your willingness to dig in, give of your own time and help do whatever was needed to make this a successful event is further proof of what really makes the school feel like family. Here’s to a bright and beautifully designed future!
