The time has come for me to buckle down and get my ideas for my kitchen remodel on paper, then get bids. Heaven knows I’ve put it off long enough. In all honesty, I have been concerned about making mistakes. Not in the layout of the plan, per se, but in how to best handle the details. Even facelifts in a kitchen are expensive. Lots of wrinkles to iron out.
What inserts and extras will best stretch my storage to the limits? That’s not the hardest decision. There are great solutions out there that I will share with you this week.
This is where I got stuck: Do I update all the doors or do I have the new cabinets made to match the old ones? If I update them to full overlay doors, it will open up a can of
whoop ass worms on the first floor of the house. I don’t know that I want to go there, but I do want to increase the resale value of my home. Arg!
What to do? Fire up AutoCAD and get down to…Ooh, look…a kitty!
It’s good to know a few science nerds. You can learn a lot from them.
