The color! The fabrics! The beading!
For Spring 2013, Monique Lhullier used the trio of fashion staples to create an exquisitely feminine collection. Although wearing her clothes requires a lottery win and some weight-loss on my end, these incredible pieces are as appropriate for women with a little patina on them as they are for the younger set. In fact, they are so grown-up, they maybe most suited for the 30-50ish age group.
Here are a few of my favorite looks, starting with this turquoise bombshell:
It has just enough coverage, just enough left exposed, and just the right amount of draping and movement to make you feel like a goddess. Miraculously, it looks comfortable, too!
There is still some peplum showing on the runways, a trend carried over from last spring. This black beauty adds some well placed beading to the trend:
Elegant and sexy. I would wear it if I could, peeps.
White is so hot right now and this strapless mermaid gown is no exception:
The beautiful turquoise silk shows up again, this time in a one shouldered dress with lots of layers:
So feminine and easy!
This is where things get sparkly:
This dress has an animal print feel to it, but in liquid pools of blue and bronze. I love the peek at the layers of fabric at the hem. It’s perfect for the mature woman.
Be sure to check out the sexiness of back of the dress on the right side of the photo below:
