I was recently invited to attend an evening of all things French and fabulous at Huff Harrington Home in Atlanta. I’ve driven by the store on a few occasions, but hadn’t dropped in because my time in the city always seems to be too short. I was looking forward to the evening, hanging out with my favorite Atlanta resident, meeting owners Ann and Meg, seeing the latest container of fabulousness and finally getting a chance to say a proper thank you to the first person to leave a comment on my blog (about something French!), party co-host Ally of From the Right Bank.
I was heading out of town on the 16th and I thought I was organized and ready to hit up three cities in 10 days. I was not. Something had to give, so my daughter date for the evening, Claire, graciously attended the event alone–that takes a ton of courage in the design world, it can be a tough crowd–and she agreed to share the details here. The things we do for our mothers!

Before the crowd descended, Huff Harrington looked like this:
Ann and Meg are self-proclaimed Francophiles and made sure the je ne sais quoi of France made its appearance in the South. They made a huge sacrifice (sarcasm…I would find it very easy) and traveled to Provence in search of works from local artists and antique pieces needing a new home, creating a collection even a novice eye can appreciate and drool over.
The libations were equally fabulous, including Champagne and Lillet Cocktails:
And hors d’oeuvres from next-door neighbor and new Atlanta hotpot STG Tratorria:
